If you could choose the weather you could have for opening day, while after a big bear, what would you choose?
Temperture, wind, high-pressure ( bluebird), low pressure (cloudy), moon, ETC.......
I no location, and time of year play a factor.
Would also like to hear what some of the guides have to say and what they have had some of there more successful days.
So what would be your ideal bear forcast?
If you could choose?

Re: If you could choose?
I'd take basically anything over the NH opener last year. Opening day of baiting and hunting are both September 1st. It was in the 40's opening morning, great for hauling bait. That afternoon started down pouring. We ended up getting 5-6" of rain on the 1st and 2nd. My baits were drenched and I couldn't get back until the next week to fix everything, even then it rained most of the next week. Combine the heavy rains with a massive natural food year and our bear harvest went from around 800 the previous year to 500 last year.

Re: If you could choose?
I hunt alone and still hunt/stalk, or hunt with a group of hound hunters. Either way I would prefer wet leaves, overcast, and cool temps (40's) for the September opening in WV. Wet leaves allow me to sneak around, and is also ideal for hounds to smell a fresh track. But I am not really after a big bear, just out to have fun, and hopefully get a chance at a bear.
Some do. Some don't. I just might...

Re: If you could choose?
The best weather for seeing bears at bait is nice pleasant weather. If you're sitting in the stand thinking, "What a great evening to be enjoying the woods" that's the kind of day you see the most bears. I also love to be in the stand right after a long rain ends.
