John, yes there are a ton of oak forests around by us, I just rarely set any bait stations near them. What allot of people don't realize is when the acorns drop in September they are very bitter, the bears will still eat some but will usually wait and gorge themselves in late Fall when they are ripe. I think this is why we don't see allot in there stomachs during the Sept bear season, but we also don't open every bear up to look either.

Mike, I'm not 100% sure, but didn't you say you personally bear hunted MN recently? ? Is there an article out there online that describes that particular experience? ??? I've love to read it.
