You cannot even begin to understand the amount of work they do until you witness it yourself. It's really incredible and it shows in the quality of bears taken every year. I probably drove Mike a little nuts last year by passing up bears I should have killed but he stayed upbeat and positive up till the final hour of the final day when I finally killed one and can't express enough how important that patience was for me. Just wanted to put that out there for anybody thinking about hunting with NWO in the future. Can't imagine a better run camp anywhere.

A bear's stomach is what controls their movement. Bears are all about food and food is available on all moons.

We talked another hunter into coming back up this week, he didn't think he could make it but pulled some strings, made the long trip, arrived at 11:00 AM shot his bear at 6:00 PM from a open ground blind. Nice 185lb boar.

Two more hunters up today, drizzly weather at 12:30 is suppose to get nicer later in the day. Baits are still getting hit, hopefully we will be dragging one out tonight.

Bears are being finicky, this cooler weather has put feeding on hold. We have 3 hunters up. One hunter after hunting hard this season, he finally shot his bear last night, not the monster he was hoping for but it has a beautiful thick coat. Will make a great mount.

Another beautiful 230lb boar goes down tonight. Mark hunted hard the opening week of the bear season only to pass up small bears and was entertained frequently by a sow with cubs. He finally was able to come back up this past Thursday and tonight with 12 minutes left in the hunt he finally got his chance. His first shot the bear went down, Mark thought it was over then the bear regained his footing :o , Mark shot him again and the bear was down for good  Only 3 more days left, our last hunter is coming in tomorrow for two days.

I had to go to a funeral in Ashland Friday, and Carol wanted to stay the weekend to visit with the family. Saturday I drove around the north woods while she visited.
