Cubs or Yearlings? Lets hear your answer. Listen to there vocalization. These bears just showed up in the last few days and there's two big boars that are here on a regular basis. In the video I post below Mama bear doesn't even come to the bait, she lays and watches while they eat, she knows those big boars are around and could pose a threat to her young ones.

In the last video...those are yearlings at the bait, and Mama bear is laying down in the back ground, they are probably just legal and weigh about 80-90 pounds. A legal bear in Wisconsin has to be at least 42 inches.

The bait station and stand border a corn field, the corn is now in the milking stag, I can tell this as the visits to this bait station has slowed down some, hopefully the corn will harden more and the bears will leave it alone by the time the season starts. Either way we will shoot a bear off of this bait.

Love the vocalizations. Those little one's sure come in with some energy. Just like hyperactive little kids.

So earlier this summer I go in to bait one of the bait stations and I see this Ash tree bent way over, I was very excited to view my trail camera to see what bear did this, or should I say bears!

Look at the time this great big bear shows up. Theses bears are surely looking to pack on the pounds before winter. If this weather stays warm like it is, its going to be a good hunt.

I laugh now  when I think about it but at the time it wasn't funny. Because of back problems and its easier to carry bait in and holds 10 gallons, I made a back pack out of a waste paper basket. The other day while baiting and walking in on my entrance trail I slipped on some bear poop, stumbled while trying to regain my footing only to fall on my face. The bait that was in the basket, pie filling, cookies, bread, topped off with peanuts slid out and now covered my shoulders and head. Glad I had a towel and water back at the truck.

Thats a nice one. Baits over here in Michigan are really getting hammered this year. Not many acorns this year either.
