How many bears?

The topic about seven bears got me to thinking, I wonder what's the most bears someone has seen in one day at a bait. The place I love to hunt in Manitoba is the most incredible hunt I know of for numbers of bears. I have routinely seen 8-12 bears in an evening, those numbers are common, but watch this hunt from opening day last fall. I lost count, but I believe there were 20-23 bears in 4 hours.

That's an awesome hunt! Most I ever saw was about 10, and I shot one of them with a couple hours of daylight left so the number would of likely risen. I have noticed when I 1st bait the best spot get a lot of bears on camera, sometimes 5 to 12, but then one or two of the boars bed close and protect the site and the sightings go down... So a guy without running a camera would be disappointed by less bait being eaten if he did not realize what was going on...

By the way that bear made B&C at 21 inches. Kindof hard to believe I passed him up the first time!
