Today's the first day of baiting for us. We're going to be using the following for bait, once per week per site:
-7.5 gallons of trail mix
-5lb of chocolate icing
-5lb of white donut frosting
-10lb of fruit snacks
-5gallons of cracked corn soaked with a molten mixture of maple syrup, jello mix, and marshmallows

I wanted to put a trail cam at each bait but wasn't able to get over to WI to pull my cheap cams like I wanted. So we'll put them out next weekend. By the way, last weekend I had suspected that I found a bear bed just off the trail to get to my bait site. Now I believe it was indeed a bed, which inspires some confidence. Hopefully there's a few running around those swamps. I'll be uploading another video for the baiting.

If the bears don't eat it. I'll eat what's left lol

ill guarantee my crib logs to be 110% free from defects that would deter bears from eating your baits. If you don't kill, it's on you lol.

The baits are placed. The combination of goodies that we put out there seemed to be a pretty decent sized pile. Hoping they get hit but still have a little left by the time we get up there next weekend. My buddy decided to place his bait in an area I found on the other side of the swamp. His bait is literally right on the edge of the bog, near an old rotted ladder stand that had to be used for bear hunting in the past. We didn't notice any signs of other hunters which is good.

Awesome thread. If I were you, I'd be hoping for a clean bait site upon return. That amount of bait only lasts a couple days if you have regular bears in the area.

My bait was hit, the other guy's wasn't. However even though mine was hit, not much of the bait was eaten. Not sure if it was just found recently. We put the logs back on and set up two more bait stations around the swamp for better winds. And we set up two trail cams.

Can't wait to get out there and check the baits on Saturday! I'll be doing all four by myself. Two of the baits have trail cams currently running... One that was hit already and one new bait my buddy put out last weekend.

Bait composition the same? All four baits on the same property/general area?
