Decided just to apply for a point again this year.

[glow=red]Some of my friends have been really successful getting leftover tags.[/glow]They generally draw every third year and hunt with leftovers the other two years. But the key is waiting at the license counter the minute they go on sale. Small gas stations are best, because you need to be first in line, which is tougher to do at something like a Gander Mtn. Not sure if you can pick up the leftover online. But the one time my buddy was second in line, the guy in front of him got a tag and he didn't.

I've done this twice. Both times ended up with a bear.

Bear lottery winners must purchase their license by August 1, 2015. Unsold licenses will then become available to any eligible person on August 5, 201
5 at noon.
