Took a hunter out to his stand, bait station it was not hit, I whispered to him that it was good luck his bait was not hit, the bears would be extra hungry, he archery shot a nice 207lb Sow at 4:00 pm. We have to track another one tomorrow, hunter says his arrow was a little far back, arrow tells me different but will look in the morning.

Another 200 plus pound bear! What a just incredible year at NWO. Many, many big bears this year. Not suprising when you know the quality of the operation Mike runs but still impressive non the less.

Are weights live or dressed weights?

I thought I remember mike posting he doesn't field dress the bear near bait stations. Brings them back to camp with guts intact.

Had a great time at NWO again this year. Largest average weight of bears I have seen at camp this year. Most of the bears were 200 lbs plus.

Went out and retrieved the bear in the morning, hunter made a great shot, only went 80 yards. Better shot placement than he thought, 247lb Boar.

Yes we never gut our bears in the field, do not want to attract unwanted guests in the area where we will possibly be hunting again.

16 bears so far. Moved a few stands today to try and fool some of these monster bears that are still coming in but are nocturnal. Have hunters coming back up this week.

You guys are having a heck of a season from the sounds of it. How many more clients do you have to round out the year mike?

We downed another one last night, one of the rifle hunters came back, he arrived at camp at 1:00pm my lead guide Robert had him in his stand by 1:30pm, by 6:00pm had his bear registered and hanging in my garage, nice 245lb boar.

We have 3 hunters left, two archery and one more rifle. I have two friends that also have tags. Some of the bait stations that we shot bears off of went dead for a week and are now getting pounded again, we have some monster bears coming in now. Should be able to fill more tags.
