Where would you place a bait by just looking at these pics ? I seen 2 bears in the past in the fall right along the water canal running north and south

Re: Ariel pic
Honestly hard to say from those pic's... What is in the open areas? cattails? grass? and are there any swampy areas? I would look close to where you saw the bears, but I would also think about other people and get as remote as you can get the bait away from people and where there is bear sign and habitat.

Re: Ariel pic
The open areas is a mixture of everything. Cattails, marsh grass, boggy type vegetation, and swampy. I don't think this area gets much human pressure until duck season. This picture is just one small area but not very remote because I'm looking for a spot I can drive to right after work. I feel like I may be the only bear hunter around

Re: Ariel pic
I just put a small test bait out right in the pin. Sure seems like bear habitat. But now I think I set my cam at too much of a downward angle. I'm hoping for a pic. Only put out like 2 gallons.

The pin spot is a good location. Nice travel corridor. You can bring bear to you as long as there's water and good cover. Super remote don't necessarily mean bigger bears.
