2014 Saskatchewan bear hunt

Myself and five other guys are making the now anual trip to Saskatchewan in three weeks to hunt with Roger Eagles at Bear Claw Outfitters. http://www.bearclawoutfitters.com/
Roger is trapping beavers and getting things prepared and if the darn snow ever melts all the way up there it should be a great hunt again. I'll keep you all posted and put up some pics and videos when we get back. Last year everyone shot a black bear but hopefully this year there will be a few more color phase bears around ( 2 guys missed color phase bears last year). Time to sharpen the broadheads and start packing!!

Roger is all booked up again for this spring and fall but he will most likely have a few spots open for next year. If you are interested just give him a call.

Willy is back in the States, was told the hunt was a huge success. Stories will be told soon..

Got back to the house 6am yesterday. Have to get all the pics and video onto the computer after catching up on work. In short we went 5 for 7 with everyone shooting at bears. All blacks, only one color phase on camera this year. Nice cinnamon, will post pics of it. One wounded, one missed clean. Got some great video of one of the kills from a ground blind. Weather was hot and the bears where moving a little slow but still lots of action on the baits. Will be a day or two then will post everything at once.

One of the kills of the bigger black bear that was taken. Will try and find time to post all the pics and videos in a few more days. Been pretty busy since getting back.
