Cookie Dough for bait...
Anyone use this stuff? Was thinking maybe of picking some up if I can find some. I'm thinking a person is going to have to mix something with it or not? Something like molasses or a small amount of chocolate, some kind of pie filling, peanut butter, etc?

I have used it with good results... I would not think you would have to add anything. However my baits in Minnesota always have a large variety of treats. In wisconsin we don't have that luxury cause we are so limited on quantity.

Thanks for the responses. It's not looking good for me on finding some by the time I leave again come Monday early morning. No one so far here In Minnesota has any. Its a quick seller and a popular one by the way it looks.

Re: Cookie Dough for bait...
I've been a lurker here for some time. I'm a bear guide out of Minnesota.
Most will disagree with me, but I think cookie dough is a terrible bait. Especially in years of high berries and mast crops. I've bought thousands of pounds from Proden.
If I use it at all its small amounts. They fill up on it to fast. This year that flat out refused it.

Re: Cookie Dough for bait...
We had good luck with cookie crumbs mixed with gummy bears in 55 gallon drums ... all this talk of bear bait makes me want to go kill a bear... it's been a long time.
edit: can't remember if I got my bait at Dave Proden's or R Distributing.

I thought about using it this year but went for the trail mix and cookie mix instead. I know of people that use it with good luck.

Re: Cookie Dough for bait...
Trail mix mixed with beef fat worked well for me this fall. I use other stuff too. I rotate 2-3 different foods weekly
