Bear down in MN! (Beast arm footage)
My buddy Kenny shot a bear on the opener yesterday, and I was in the tree filming. Did the editing this morning and uploaded to Youtube. Hope you guys enjoy. This was the first hunt I filmed with the Beast Camera Arm, and I have to say it was rock solid and easy to use! The first bear came just short of the bait before we heard the second bear crashing through the woods. The first one took off, leaving the second to come into the bait. He laid down as soon as he got there, leaving for a perfect broadside shot opportunity. The bear only went about 100 yards.

Re: Bear down in MN! (Beast arm footage)
Thanks guys! We didn't weigh him, but we had him tied up on a single pulley, and I could hang from the rope without lifting the bear. Kenny was a lot closer, but we couldn't really get a definitive yes or no. So we imagine he was in the 200-230 range dressed.
Camera was the Canon Vixia HF S100. I filmed it in a flat capture mode, which made the video bland looking but full of light information. Then in after editing I was able to color correct to match Kenny's skin tone and work around with contrast to really make the colors come to life! Also for the first time I filmed using entirely manual focus, and was really happy with the results.

The focus part is what I noticed the most... I have a higher end Canon G10 but when self-filming in auto focus it typically picks up leaves/limbs between me and the animal which is frustrating. Even in manual focus it is not easy to keep a clear picture of the animal - you did a great job
