WI Bear Baiting

Unread postby Hill Hunter » Mon Aug 27, 2012 12:10 am

A guy I know has been running a bait for about five weeks now in zone C. Not much other pressure from neighboring property owners baiting and dog hunting won't be an issue. A few people are talking about how the 'bear baits' will go cold here shortly.

Is this mainly because of the acorn crop and them starting to fall now? Are there other factors? or anything a guy can do to keep them hitting it.....there are a few different bears hitting the bait up to Aug 24th and mostly daylight activity.

Any thoughts/tips/experiences appreciated.
