Counting down days to Saskatchewan Bear hunt!
In exactly 56 days 14 hours and 30 minutes ( I have a countdown app on my phone) I will be leaving to meet up with Mike to head up to Saskatchewan and hopefully kill some huge canadian black bears. Totally pumped!!!............actually 28 minutes now.

Cool. Good luck and bring a big one home.
Looking for a color phase bear?
I have always wanted to hunt bear in Saskatchewan but have never made it out there.

Re: Counting down days to Saskatchewan Bear hunt!
Bear hunting anxiety is starting to set in. I find myself not wanting to go to work (who wants to anyways) the closer our departure date is the longer the work days get. My mind wanders often about this hunt to Canada but also what will this 2012 Wisconsin bear season bring. Already numerous bears have been sighted and 3 nuisance bears have been trapped in the Town of Washburn and re-located, one right in my (our) Mothers yard.
For this years baiting I have 8 thousand lbs of pie filling, blueberry, apple, cherry, and two new ones, banana and some sort of orange pie filling, a total of 60 barrels (cookies & sugar cones) and Popcorn. 3 gallons each of Anise & Bacon Gel from the Bear Scents LLC company. I am sure I will pick up some other bait along the way.
Our Saskatchwan hunt is going to be interesting, I was not to interested in bear hunting over barrels, "I like the pristine part of the hunt" but didnt realize until looking at the laws and regs that they are required to use them if I read it right.
Willie and I will be filming the hunt and testing out the "Ozonics" to see how well this hunting product scent elimination system works. I dont know about willie but I guess the outfitter said the bugs are bad, I will be using the ElimiTick tick repelling clothing from the GameHide Company, I know from past years it definitely repells ticks, I guess it is suppose to work on mosquitoes too, but will bring my thermacell and some scent free bug spray for back up. I think by the time we are done setting up every thing in our stands we will look like we are opening up a sporting goods store.
What every happens I know we will have a great time, I hope

Sounds like a fun one to me, and getting close. Looks like you spelled Anise right to me.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
