Spring Bear Hunting ?s

I have been wondering about spring bear hunting.

Is it only in certain Canadian Provinces? Or,
Is there some western states that have a season?
Is it mostly spot and stalk, or is traditional baiting effective and used?
Anyone here ever done it? Where and How would be appreciated.

Just got an email from Bowhunt America, the upcoming Spring Bear and Turkey issue is coming out in March, since they are a bowhunting mag I would assume their is some treestand hunting involved and maybe even ground hunting techniques with bow. I was curious and didnt feel like waiting and want to see what some BEASTS may know.

Some provinces In Canada have a spring season, some don't. A few states out west have a spring season. I know Idaho has one and maybe Wyoming too. A guy I know In Idaho has been trying to talk me Into going spring bear hunting with him. I haven't bit yet. I'm pretty sure I'm going out there to do a spring bear hunt some year but will probably go with someone else. Baiting would be my tactic out their In the mountains.

Thanks for the replies guys. Schultzy I thought Idaho had a spring season and I have a friend out there who used to run dogs.
