Agreed don't waste your time clearing out the area and getting the plot ready for seed then spending money on seed and planting it without soil test. A soil test and lime/fert application is probably the easiest step.

I listened to you guys and went ahead and took a soil sample from each spot where these 2 food plots will be. I'll find out the results mid next week.
