Tornado hit my prime spot

Unread postby Jamesrthe2 » Sat May 18, 2019 1:20 pm

Last week, my #1 spot got smacked by 2 tornadoes. There are a number of large trees (some as big as 4' diameter Oaks) down and/or damaged across probably 20 acres. I've gotten feedback on other sites, but would love to hear Dan's thoughts.

I should note that my family owns a small piece of land that abuts a very large piece of public. It's pine & hardwood bottoms in La, no real swamp in this immediate area. Both the private & public areas are affected.

How would you expect this to affect deer patterns later in the year? I know I've got tons of new bedding now & will very likely see a lot of new browse next year. But in the meantime, would you push on in to hunt it hard, or skirt around it this year?

Thanks!
