It sort of has the same color as elderberry but I dont remember it having the berries during the summer months...My small woods is completely filled with this stuff so I am trying to figure out if its good for anything or if I should start spraying and replacing...

Wish I knew more about this stuff. I know there are some apps where you can take a picture of a plant and it will tell you what it is but not sure how accurate it is.

Its definitely a black elderberry. I got an app call PlantSnap where you take a picture of the leaves and it tells you what it is.

never thought about an app for plant identification. i just downloaded garden answers it was free. im cheap like that :D

Nice find on plantsnap. I bought it just for the response the developer gave back to a bad review from OTR...that was a great and thorough response.
