Who is getting or has already acquired a soil test and actually intends to follow it this spring?

You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Had one done last year on a micro-plot we put in that said all the levels in the soil were fine. However I think the high amount of organic material in the top layer of the soil was what helped our test to come back so positive. On the old field we are trying to plant this year that hasn't been planted in 40yrs I think we will need a soil test and need to follow it this year for good results in fall.

How deep do you take your soil tests?

I didn't have a soil probe so not deep enough. However we disked and tilled the plot and mixed it up and broke up the soil. I took the sample at about 4" that isn't deep enough but it worked out alright and our plot grew just had trouble with weeds and a 2 week dry spell. Right after seeding the plot.
