Fort Custer Training/Recreation Area

Unread postby MI Hunter » Fri Jul 08, 2016 8:14 am

I have access to Fort Custer Training Area and was hoping for some help on where to start my scouting. It's quite a large area and it's hard to dissect it. There are no crops of any kind, mostly just swamps, big woods, and open grass fields. During the times that it is closed due to Army training, I would like to also have some spots on the Rec Area to fall back on. Here are a couple links to the Topo map and hunting areas.

Your pics won't come up. I mountain biked the rec area a few years back. Very nice terrain seemed like typical southern mi public ground. I would find the places the hunters won't go. Usually that might mean no huntable trees or close to human activity areas where there is a dead zone people overlook
