I had 10-15 video clips of does and fawns sniffing the rub as well. They have keyed in on the very end of it, and pay next to no attention to the middle of the limb. I would say somewhere around 30-40% of the pics/vids I got, a deer would scent check the rubbing post. I did have 5 other videos of the buck, but he only rubbed once. He never came in without scent checking it. He is the only buck I have on camera at this spot, however my Dad hunted there recently and saw this buck and two 1.5 yr old bucks.

When I swapped cards, I did not notice any wear on the limb, but I wasn't looking at the end... I figured the rubbing would be in the middle. Next year I will extend it a little to give them more room. I also re-hung a licking branch and made a scrape underneath with my rubber boots. Just to make it interesting, I peed in the scrape. It'll be an interesting card pull next time I'm in there...

Threads on the Beast are moving right along and I'm pretty sure an interested party or two might have missed the update....

thats cool. He was really getting into it while rubbing. I like the video, shows a lot more body language than a pic.
