i planted 10 apple trees today. fenced in 5 feet so far I got 25 percent up to 7-8 feet and have to finish tomorrow. all 10 trees are different variety. I will post more when not so tired. picked out trees at 11 . bought all my fencing and headed out to my land. started at 1:30 got done for the day at 6:30. got a lot accomplished but was hard work. the good thing was my pasture was very easy to work the ground. my neighbor let us fill 5 gallon buckets to water them . tired........will post variety later....

Re: apple tree project
finished up the fencing on sunday at 3:30. i would have rather hunted but this was the only right time for me and my cousin to help me out. now i hope they do well. the fencing is 7.5 ft. all around. i planted 10 types . liberty, northwest greening, winesap, wolf river, connell red, snowsweet, fireside, haral red, state fair, and hazen. i did 2 rows of 5 and staggered them and a good 15 feet apart or so. i have plenty of work to do with clearing the area better yet this winter so in the spring they arent competing with weeds etc...
