I am sure Deerslayer with chime in on this.....he is real good with food plots.

I used his Crimson Trail seed this last Spring. All I can say is WOW. I am so pleased with how it came up  (slayer seed)

Also I have had great success with Michigan Ultimate Blend

Lance would be the guy to talk to. I would give some advice and might later on. I'm deferring to Deerslayer at this point. I hunt some in southern Iowa. What county you hunting in. Pm me if you'd rather not everyone know.

I do most of my hunting on public land, not with food plots. But I do have one small property with food plots.... Most big bucks are not shot on the plots, they are shot near there bedding areas staging to go to the plots.

good advice!! one of the plots that i had in mind is right off of the bedding area on the feild edge. only bad thing is you can see it from the road. i guess one could plant corn or some taller grass of sorts to block the view from the road. one thing i did notice just from driving around looking for bucks in the area is if they hear a truck cumming they are gone!!!!! lol
