The areas I have marked in red are confirmed bedding areas. Each bedding area is within close proximity to the fields above them. The yellow line is a logging road/rut road I cleared out with a skid steer in hopes of funneling the deer.
I'm after two big bucks that hang out in this area. Last year I got a daylight picture of both using the largest field. This is private land that does not receive a lot of hunting pressure.
Where would you hunt before and during the rut? How would you enter/exit the stands? Accessing the stand from above is not really an option, but I don't want to bust deer in the field in the mornings.
How would you hunt this area?

If you can't hunt above the bedding, its really going to limit your chances. I would think the woods around those fields is going to be good... Why can't you access from above? or go around the bedding to access above?
You might be able to get some rut action below on the ridge edges, but your going to have a hard time getting close enough to the beds in the evening from below without having your thermal updraft bust you. You could try hunting right over the bed in the morning and when he returns from the field shooting him.

I actually meant I can't access it from below. I can access it from above through the field. I'm only worried about busting deer in the morning that might be feeding.
What spots look good to you? I'm thinking most of them will be hunted with a N wind.

Re: How would you hunt this area?
hunt evenings when you will come through field prior to there arrival.
I assume you talk of busting deeer in the AM? I would hunt close to the buck beds in the eveing all early season, and wouldnt even worry about mornings until late october.
looks like a good setup, try each bed on a good wind.
