scouting session 12-31

Unread postby rack addict » Mon Jan 02, 2012 12:50 pm

Went scouting saturday and it ended up being a very quick scouting mission. I just got into the swamp was walking along then boom, next thing I know I'm going hand first into the water. The water quickly filled the inside of my boots as well. I had been eye balling this spot for the last 4 years but never went into it. I just went in real quick (I was freezing) and I did find a bed which I did not take a pic of, must of had brain freeze. But there were more rubs in this area that I didnt take pics of but this area was probably about 20 yds x 20yds. Only dry spot in the area and its nasty thick around it. There is no way to get to this spot without making noise and from his bed you can watch us pull in  From most of the rubs it would be easy to make the assumption that its probably a young buck bed but it was still nice to finally find one.

You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Bummer you got dunked.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

I went out with my buddy Dave Saturday and he made a bad step and went thru the bog to his arm pits a long way out. He was pretty cold for the walk out... You gotta be careful out there.
