Saginaw Bay Walleye - Summer

Unread postby Singing Bridge » Tue May 25, 2010 4:38 am

Got out on the Bay FINALLY!! Note to self, never wait this long again. Hammered some walleye and donated them to my brother's fish fry at work- he caught a boatload too but needed the extra fish. No pics, but I'm going on a DIY SagBay trip tomorrow to diagnose a trolling battery problem with my 24V system. Gotta figure out whether it's time for new deep cycle batteries or if there was a charging problem. I'll definitey take pics tomorrow, here's a few pics from recent outings that are my recipe for mental wellness!

I catch all heck from the family for giving them away- guess I'd better fish more often.

Bridge, nice fillets. What is the limit on the Bay over there?

Was in your neck of the woods a few weeks ago in Essexville, should have looked you up for a guided trip.

Had a little trouble in the UP, cops pinched me for speeding and I didn't even know my WI license was expired so they got me there too. Long story, but took all the cash I had and almost hauled me in. I sent the remainder in the mail and now they want $150 bucks more. I barely had enough digging for change to pay the toll crossing the Mack.

I got it going 62 with the cruise on in a 55. Radar went off in the truck and thought no problem. I think it was the out of state plates. He said, I'll give you a break, knock it down to 60 in a 55. Thanks buddy.

Had me on the side of the road for 45 minutes.....never had a cop take all the cash I had on me....left me 2 bucks and the change in the cup holder.

HH- the limit for walleye on the SagBay is 5 per angler per day. Essexville is right in the middle of the good fishing areas this time of the year- definitely should have looked me up! 8-)
