How much of the sign you are looking for is underwater?
For all the guys putting on the miles scouting now that the snow is finally leaving how many of your spots are underwater right now from the recent snow melt/rains? I want to get out scouting a few islands I know of but I know that it'd even be a chore in waders right now. I am still going to make an attempt at it wednesday. How often does high water alter the sign left from last season? Will the evidence of bedding be washed away at all? Also, if bucks are bedding on points of islands and what not are they usually close enough to a wet edge that it could be underwater this time of year and I could overlook the fact that they bed there all together?

Same here it,s either 2 feet of snow or 2 feet of water ,neither one is too much fun.

I've got a couple of spots under water right now myself, swampthing. Very frustrating if you need to get scouting in to these spots... fortunately with my two areas I am intimately familiar with the buck beds and travel routes. I do have one new area that I did want to scout that's going to have to wait a bit...

Some of of the sign is under water but as cold as it is going to get the next 4-5 days everything will be under ice again. Looks like I will have to take this weekend off and wait till it warms up and the snow melts again.

I,m actually considering doing more scouting in say late November, or early December. If i can in there b4 the heavy snow hits.I,m just getttin nowhere in the spring it is such a tight window to to your spring scouting. The last 2 years with heavy snow ,the areas I,m wanting to get in are just lakes and then they green up and it,s over.

Where I live in Southwestern Ontario the snow melted a few weeks ago and the deer finally got onto other properties but the snow is back again but this will work in my advantage because I was gone for a week and though green up would come to soon but now I can get the maps i need and scout when the snow melts
