Active day scouting

Unread postby Edcyclopedia » Mon Mar 14, 2011 12:33 pm

Went out for about 3-hours on two different spots...

1st spot yielded a big doe, 50-60 turkey's (I couldn't keep count)!

2nd spot (a short jaunt up the road) yielded a Woodcock (I thought was way early) a grouse, and an owl that was really pissed for getting him out of his perch...
Definately a yarding area as I have never seen so much poop in my life. I say yarding area but it is a year round hang-out for a few groups of deer. I did get into a NEW piece on this property in which I re-routed some dead falls for a nice fiunnel point come rut!!!

Sorry no pics as I only had my Droid which isn't very good at distances...

You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Sounds like fun. I'm waiting for the snow to melt down so I can get around.
