That's a pile of deer and probably a good area to predator hunt.

3 years ago I had a ND tag. I went out during the last week of the season. I found a 1 mile x 1mile combined cornfield with about 350 deer using it. It was one of my favorite hunts. Didn't get one (missed 2) but I was after a few different 4 yr olds. Hard to hunt in the wideopen, I set up on the fence lines. Dug holes in the snow and put up whitesheets on the barbwire. It worked pretty well. One morning I had 3 different sparring matches within 25 yards of me all at once. They all beded, but the buck I was after bedded at 75 yards.
After a few rough winters outthere, I am told the herd is very small in the imediate area.
