Buck Bed Trail Marker
I was out scouting today and would find a trail. Some of the trails would have a rub where the trail came off the island. I'd follow the trail and it would lead to a bed surrounded by more rubs. This is the first year I've really dove into scouting and haven't seen this before. Has anyone else?

Sounds like you found some good bedding. They like to rub once they go through water and hit the main land. I see that quite a bit. Sometimes there will be more rubs on the trail on the dry land than there is in the bedding.

It seemed like a good area. A large swamp full of sedge, tag alder and dogwood. There is island of pin oak and pine with a few scattered white oak. One of the island on the side of it was marked with rubs at the trails and when you went into the swamp 20 yards you'd find the bed. The bed was always by a tree and with a couple rubs with in 10 feet of it.

Yes- a very common phenomenon in marsh/islands etc. Looks and sounds like a great spot. Find some ambush trees!
