Took a little walk

Unread postby chad » Sun Mar 06, 2011 12:42 pm

This afternoon took a walk with my son on some local public, didn't come up with much but we did find this rub......Jordan said he would rather find sheds, I told him I just wanted to find where the big bucks were hiding, but he was up for a photo op! 8-)

My little guy did the same thing!! He had just turned 3 and I took him up north in March or April. Pouring rain, long ways from the truck and he slips and falls on a wet log! I took him back to the cabin, fed him, and he watched a movie and fell asleep. At that age it's all about them!! 8-)

Cool outing with your son. Isn't it great sharing time in the woods with kids?

I don't think my son would have lasted 3 more hours after getting wet. He is 9 now, will be 10 this summer and in that "instant gratification" age now. He's even talking about girls already when we are out together......I'm like, come on, not ready for my hunting/fishing buddy to pick a chick over me. :?  He should wait until he's at least 30.

It's great to see that you are taking your son with you scouting. Hopefully it will get and keep him interested in hunting and spending time in the outdoors!
