Whats this green stuff???

Unread postby Tribute80 » Mon May 18, 2020 2:46 am

Doing some google scouting. Wondering what this light green stuff is? Is it standing water with trash on top of it? Bog? I'm pretty sure the stuff where the trails are is cat tails and I know the green in the bottom left is high dry grass. Top left just out of the picture is open water. Bottom right is brush or short bushy trees.

My guess would be bog type vegetation... but there is only one way to know for sure, you’ll need to get your boots wet...If you have a drone with an HD camera a quick flyover can show trails, beds, and vegetation...another thing to consider is the time of year that picture was taken...the same satellite photo can look dramatically different from month to month.

Likely duckweed if there’s stagnant water in that area.
