If it is there will be a stream or creek right near or going though it in my experience.

There is a creek near, the marsh is way bigger just wanted to show a portion of it. I've never hunted a marsh, just was doing some online scouting for an out of state hunt and was checking out this area. May have to try and tackle it a little and get my feet wet (hopefully not)

Go to GoogleEarth and see if there is a winter pic of the area. Water often shows up in those. If not, in fall pics the cattails will often be tan, and in somewhat circular formations. There are grassy marshes. But often they don't stay wet enough in the fall. The grass may keep a few humans out cause walking is tough. But not coyotes.

It looks like marsh to me, but I would guess mostly knee high grass, maybe small patches of cattail.
