What is the tallest rub you came across while scouting
I came across a couple rubs while scouting that were around 12-15 foot tall on approximately 2”-3” diameter trees. Makes you wonder the size of deer that are bending these trees over. Tell us your tallest rubs.

I’ve seen them chest to neck high but I’m only 5’10”. I’ve never seen one 12-15 foot high. I would think there was a moose in the area

To give you a better idea, the trees are about 20 feet or so tall and taper down to a point at the top. Its not a solid 2-3” to the top of the tree. They come to a point like a whip.

I've seen where it looked like a bull elk had pushed over smallish diameter trees with their chest. With the tree between their front legs. Working the tree over clear to the top. But often the roots broke and the tree stayed leaning. Never seen these in whitetail only areas though.
Happiness is a large gutpile!!!!!!!

I get what you are saying, I have seen it on thin saplings. Last year, right before rut, I found some good sign and a scrape. I peed in the scrape while I was there. I came back a couple days later to sit the area, and two saplings, maybe 1-2" in diameter had been pushed to the ground and stripped bare. When they stood back up, the bark was gone higher than my head, I'm 5-11.
I think he was a bit ticked off! I'm not sure of the Buck's size, never got a close up look.

Bummer of a birthmark, Hal.
