Hill Country/Big Woods Mentor

Unread postby funderburk » Mon Mar 11, 2019 10:49 am

Fellow Beasts: I’m looking for a Beast Mentor that has lots of experience in hills/draws country and big woods. Somebody I can bounce maps off of and pick their brain concerning all things “strategy” going into this new season. I truly want to get great at this style and I’m already taking in as much content I can take. I have no problem working hard. And I promise to send you a Christmas present for being so generous and helpful :D

If you change your handle to...
Edcyclopedia is the best, I'll consider it!

I'm sure it'll only take 2-3 minutes to tell you everything I know & 1/2 of it will be lies... :liar:

If I was hunting Eastern Hill country I would shoot Flinginarrows a PM an offer to buy him dinner and see if I could pick his brain. He is from WV and gets it done pretty consistently in WV and Ohio. He's a busy dude so there's that.... bribery may work? :)

This is actually a cool idea. I’d love to have something like this for different areas. I know lots of things now have mentorships like this. I’m on a cooking/smoking group on Facebook and you can do that. Logistics might be hard to set something up but I’d also love to learn more from some really experienced hunters that’s more local

My train of thought exactly. Lots can be learned just over PM or email, too. I have a Bible Mentor that I call every now and then when I need some advice or guidance. I’ll call, we’ll chat for a half hour, and then reconnect down the road again. It’s so helpful to have that one person who can basically hold your hand when you need a little direction.
