Tha's an awesome pic That stuff is tall!

Are those much taller during season? When you guys are making your way through that, both early season and now... does it make a lot of noise?

Water is frozen now, so it is super easy quiet walking. If it wasn't iced over we would be knee deep in water and struggling making a bunch of noise

That pic reminds me of the time I took a bunch of first timers on a cattail marsh deer drive. They litterally ended the drive by walking out on the same deer trail. Lol.

During the season the tops of those cats would be 2-3 feet over your head.

I've seen cats like that, but never went to lone trees in them before. Let's just say I'll be scouting them in the future. ;)

Great day in learning some of the finer points of Beasting. Some of the good bedding areas are points in swamps, but the size of them (small) were an eye opener, as was how close El Dano sets up.

Even found one of those overlooked areas. Well, overlooked by a lot of guys not named Dan.

Today was a blast. If I did that everyday I would never need to go to the gym. This was much more clear then watching the videos. The camera changes the look. things are much closer in real life. Like what was said today "50 yrds is 50 yrds" this is a lot tighter then I have ever set up. I will be changing how I do things for sure.
Thanks Dan and everyone else.

Looks like fun boys. Did the deep and fresh snow cover negatively impact the scouting at all?

Ain't that the truth!

I have no idea what happened there. They were right side up when I uploaded them.
