Good morning fellow beasts - I was wondering if anyone had some good ways to help me learn to quickly identify different trees and different plants. As of right now I Ill try to take a picture and than try and match it up later. I was wondering if there was a book or app etc that someone has found helpful.
Thanks!

Just passing through...
I hated my 7th grade tree and plant identification course, but man has it helped me through the years. Thanks for the tip on the app. Just downloaded it. I still get stumped from time to time.

I was going to say to buy a field guide for your area and carry it with you in the "field". Sometimes its hard to realize I am old school. Phones. Everbody has a phone now. Apps...I keep forgetting about "apps"!

Haha thats funny. Thank you for the advice, I will download it now. I also went on my own search today and found a field guide for my State of Tennessee. It look like it will do the trick. I am going to print and carry it with me and see if I can self teach.

Thanks for posting that link. Oddly enough, you are encouraged on page four to use your sense of taste to help with identification. Page five contain the poison ivy alert
