CALTOPO Map Import to GPS
I have been messing around with the CALTOPO mapping site and I created a map that highlights everything in the 9000-10,000' elevation level. How can I export this map and then import to a Garmin GPS?

Re: CALTOPO Map Import to GPS
Caltopo allows you to export maps as KMZ files. KMZ files are what Garmin uses for their custom maps feature.
Google "making custom maps" for garmin to get a tutorial.
In caltopo, go to 'print' on the top tool bar and thn the 'save as KMZ' as an option. You may need to save multiple maps in caltopo (adjacent to each other) to cover the entire area you want. it works well, and is free!
