Difference in "Points"

Unread postby willsk85 » Tue Aug 08, 2017 3:53 am

Hey Guys,

Is one better than the other? One is definitely considered a point, but what about the more rounded one?

Image

Also, anybody have experience noticing if a bigger point (like one above) is better for bedding than say the smaller point like the ones below?

Stupid Photobucket. Is this better? They show up on my computer. The below image is supposed to be the bottom image of the initial message.

You can either pay the Photobucket ransom (which I would not recommend) or use a different photo site like Postimage.

Don't feel bad we have all been hit. I lost 4000+ pics on this site.

How's this?

all points are great for betting, the size of the point does not matter. I've hunted small 15ft humps on sidehills that slobs bedded on. If they provide security, they will bed there. All these points should have buck beds.

they will bed different points on different winds, so you need to play the wind and set up based on how the wind hits the point.

that will be a great "thermal tunnel" for the rut/cruising.

I think some of the less noticeable looking points can sometimes be better than the big ones, depending on security & cover.

This is what I have seen. The little subtle points off of the main point.
