Crazy Rubs

Unread postby Perfectionitz » Tue Jun 06, 2017 3:23 pm

While scouting the transition from a public land corn field to woods with marsh behind the woods, I found this set of trees... I haven't been hunting long, but hadn't seen anything like this before...

I followed a pretty good rub line back into the woods toward the marsh after I found this clump of trees. All of them were about waist height if not higher.... looking forward to hunting that marsh this fall!

Pretty typical rub cluster. I find stuff like that quite often in marshes and swamps. Sure gets your imagination going thinking about the buck that made them.

I love seeing great rubs as much as the next guy but right next to a crop field means someone else has probably seen them too. You'll probably have company when you hunt it. That makes it really important that you find where he is coming from. Don't be tempted to hunt right beside the rubs because that's what everyone else will be doing. Go in after him! ;)

P.S. You probably already know this, just a friendly reminder.
