Buck Beds after long search

Unread postby SidewayZ » Wed Mar 22, 2017 1:19 pm

Finally found some decent buck beds after lots of searching.

The area I found these two beds are in a tag alder type patch in some big woods public land in NJ.

Is it safe to assume that these beds are used within the wind range I have shown on the aerial markup (red arrows) or too broad?

Also the one bed looks a little round as opposed to bean shape. Lots of rubs nearby, none in the bed. Tracks where really hard to read as a yote had come through and over tracked a lot of them also the snow melt made it hard to read. Yote tracks looked fresh. Also found droppings within 10 feet of the beds.

Exit trails hard to see due to snow as well. Although one seemed appearant that ran down hill.

Yellow is patches of tag alder type trees. Red is range of wind I think these would be used on and black dots are the beds.
