How do you like this rut setup for a north wind. It looks like there is a little bench here as well as several converging funnels. Thanks!

I'd come up that draw just to the left with a N wind that way your not crossing the point

Well if a buck is cruising, I could see him traveling over the tip of the point you have marked for access and just keep going along the south part of the slope. With a N wind, you'd have several setups. If you go with that saddle, I'd move the stand south to be down wind of the saddle as well as on the leeward side of the ridge where they'd typically cruise. Also, I like just southwest of your current spot, a little more up on that hill overlooking that smaller saddle on that point. Just depends on the wind.

Agree. If you think that side will have the action then i would wait for a south wind.

That place has lots to offer! It looks interesting for sure, I really like the looks of the pine thicket edges and the topo.

I don't hunt much in hill country but...I think the point just north on that saddle where your red arrow on the topo is, looks interesting. Also the point north and slightly west of your stand location.
