Action is starting to pick up here in Maine and I'm shifting my focus from bedding areas to funnels. I found this spot that I'm going to sit for the first time tomorrow or wednesday. It is a thin strip of woods that connects 2 large tracts of timber. It plays best for an east wind I think and should be good. My question is how would you set up for this and why? I was thinking set on the west side even though i would probably be eye level in a stand because of elevation. or I could sit the high point and hope the wind either blows over the top of deer and that morning thermals carry my scent into the blueberry field above. Any ideas?

Looking at the elevation there i would hunt the highside trails with rising and lowside with evening falling air.

On 2nd look that point looks good by the field corner. Ive seen mature bucks skirt tight to those corners. Goodluck
