Hey guys,
Just wondering if there is anything to a spot when all you see are rubs being made from buck going to mainland from swamp, but not from mainland back to swamp? Are they going back into the swamp in a different spot?
Thanks!

What direction are the tracks? I don't get to hunt swamps here, but I would think a big advantage is the ability to see tracks.

Tracks seem to be going both ways, but I am more curious as to why he would only be rubbing on the way out of the swamp versus on the way in.

He may have a different access route back into the swamp for various reasons such as j hooking into bed

Re: Rubs only going out of the swamp
It is my belief that many times there will be more rubs leading from a bed or bedding area as the buck gets up during daylight, just before dark and makes numerous rubs on his way through cover as he "waits" out the remaining daylight. This way your buck is making his sign in the swamp and arriving at the edge of the hardwoods at dark or just after.
Always pick a spot!
