nice work. better you discover your prepped tree down now rather than your first planned sit in season.

Luckily this prepped tree was an easily prepped observation only, not a kill tree. I kinda figured it wouldn't last but a couple more years anyways.

The next morning I went back out to get to an area of the property now that the waters have receded. I jumped several does and a young buck along the way. I got really lucky at one point because I walked right into the middle of a sounder of pigs and got out unscathed. They didn't have any little piglets which was probably my saving grace. About a mile and a half back, I had to kick myself for not strapping on my folding foraging bag (leather and waxed canvas that folds up and goes on my belt) because I stumbled across probably 3 acres of mustang grapes. All the rain this year has produced a BUMPER CROP.

I also stumbled across an illegal cabin about 2 miles back. Looks like it has been used infrequently, and something stinky had been living in it. I didn't explore inside due to the 6 or 7 yellow jacket nests guarding the door.
