I have heard a couple fawns get caught by coyotes. They sure can bawl, loud enough to carry hundreds of yards through thick foliage. Makes you cringe a little bit knowing what is happening.

Gave wide berth and left it alone this time. Momma was nearby and snorted at me once I got past.
