When I'm in the woods - I always carry. Scouting, boating, dog down to the river, me, ma, and the kids on a hike on a bike trail - always!

Ran into a guy on some of my private land a few years back, before I had my CCW permit - so I had the .45 on my thigh - open carrying, just asked the guy politely if he was turned around - I'd be happy to take him back to the access trail. I got a kick out of it after the fact - he was pretty shook up - I really think he was truley lost and not trespassing at all. He couldn'nt take his eyes off my thigh!! Must have never seen a guy carry a handgun before??

Anyway - always got the Sig on nowdays!!

We can open carry to, from, and during hunting, fishing, and camping here in Florida so from time to time I'll carry the .454 casull on my hip and the looks I get when I stop in the gas statino are priceless!

Scouting a few weeks back with my kids, I took a 12 gauge for no other reason than if I jumped a rabbit or grouse. I told my kids we probably wouldn't jump either animal unless I left the gun at home, lo and behold we didn't jump anything!!
