I'm looking over the calendar now trying to find days I can get out. We still have some season left here but I think my time will be better spent searching for new spots.

I went out yesterday to clear a new entry trail to one of my spots. I've been bumping deer in the mornings going into this spot so now I have an entry trail from the opposite direction. I also did a little looking around and hung a trail camera. As long as the snow doesnt get too deep, I'll be out every chance i get. I have thousands of acres i can scout. Thats one nice thing about public land...theres lots of it!
I take my Bowhunting seriously

AInt no way I can walk 11 miles in one day, I have to do 3 mi trips at a time. My heel, ankles and hips would kill me.

We dont normally do that much but have limited time to make the 2 hr drive up n had alot to cover, Ill plan the routes best I can with short bursts of high elevation gain and then its mostly flat or downhill back to truck our first loop was 7.3 miles thn 3.8 at another area, a high calorie breakfast and lots breaks for jerky water and Cliff bars keep you focused.

Re: Who starts scouting right after the season?
We out yesterday and walked 2 miles round trip. Found a Doe bedding area with 10 beds in it and a smaller bedding area with 2-3 in it. We set a camera up in this area to see what's there. On the road we found a crossing with a buck track. But it was almost dark so I couldn't track it.
Might head back out next weekend.
