Found these on the local public I have been hunting. They are on the back corner of a large marsh grass area. They are over a mile in. Just need to know if it is worth the walk in again. As far as what Dan says to look for they look text book. Single bed, fallen tree, way off by themselves in the marsh grass

Sure looks like it. Pics never seem to do beds justice for how they look in real life.

a good rule of thumb Dan says to use is size of the area that the grass is laid over, i remember measurements (40" or longer I believe), but you know when you see it. At least would help you decide if its a smaller bodied buck.

They don't look heavily used to me.

I would say a good impression with the grass laid down tight. Even a moderately used bed has a distinct impression especially in thick grass.

A good way to confirm is to comb through the grass with your fingers. You will be able to find deer hair in the bed if it gets any use at all.
