Ok you beast experts, here's a case file for you. I'm planning on a blind hunt on some local public land. I've studied the maps and found a point that has some promising features; change in terrain, transitions, and topography (slight, but I'm in flat country). I highlighted possible buck bedding with red dots. Do you think he'll bed according to topography or cover features? My planned hunting day will have a north wind. I would expect the buck to drop down from his bedding into the creek bottom giving him ample cover and working his way west to the hardwoods to feed. I'm proposing an access from the south following the timber/clear cut transition or I can come up through the timber. What are your thoughts on access, ambush site, and my suggested buck bedding area?
Thanks in advance.
